Temporary profession marks a new phase in formation. The time between the first temporary profession and the perpetual profession is called the Juniorate, lasting for nine years. During this period, religious commitment deepens as it prepares individuals for a lifelong commitment to God. The Juniorate focuses on gradually blending spiritual life, community living, apostolic work, and study. This integration ensures that a rich spiritual life becomes a wellspring for apostolic work and motivates further study. Before making a lifelong commitment to God, young religious undergo a period of intense spiritual renewal at the end of the Juniorate.
