Introduction
NID ഡിസൈൻ ആപ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂഡ് ടെസ്റ്റ് സാധാരണയായി NID DAT എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു, പ്രിലിംസ് പരീക്ഷയും മെയിൻ പരീക്ഷയും അടങ്ങുന്ന ഒരു ദ്വിതല ഡിസൈൻ പ്രവേശന പരീക്ഷയാണ്. National Institute of Design കാമ്പസുകൾ നൽകുന്ന B. Des, M. Des പ്രവേശനത്തിനുള്ള വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ ഷോർട്ട്ലിസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുന്നതിനായി ദേശീയ തലത്തിൽ എല്ലാ വർഷവും പ്രവേശന പരീക്ഷ നടത്തുന്നു.
Eligibility
Age Limit
- The maximum age limit is 30 years for the candidates applying for the Masters of Design
Educational Qualification:
- Applicants will have to prove that they have passed the following qualifying exams
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline under the 10+2+4 system, from any university, recognized by law in India.
- Diploma in Design under 10+2+4 system, from any university, recognized by the law of India.
Note: Applicants must have passed the Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma examinations at the time of document verification.

Total Marks
- 100
Marking Scheme
- This Exam would comprise both objective and subjective type questions.
- 70% of the total questions are of objective nature
- Remaining 30% questions are subjective in nature.
- The two papers (objective and subjective) are held separately on the same day.
- There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
- Candidates who qualify the first round (also called prelims) are then called for the second round (also known as mains) of the selection process which includes a Studio Test of 100 marks. The studio test checks the candidates’ ability in sketching/drawing, handicraft modeling, and group discussions. All the tests under this round would be conducted in English medium only.

How to Apply
Step 1 - Registration
Candidates are required to register first to fill the application form of NID DAT. Candidates must enter the following details
Valid email id and mobile number.
Candidates will receive an email in their registered mail address after the registration.
Step 2 - Fill in the NID DAT 2022 application form
- Candidates will have to login by entering the email ID and date of birth provided during registration in the login window.
Furnished all the required information in the registration form - Candidates can complete filling the registration form later by clicking on the ‘Save and Exit’ button
- If candidates wish to complete filling out the application form, then they have to click on the ‘Save and Proceed’ button.
Step 3 - Upload the requisite documents
- Candidates must upload the essentials document in the prescribed space as per the specification mentioned above.
- Candidates will have to upload the scanned photograph. The passport photograph has to be taken recently in coloured at a professional studio. Aspirants must note that if they self-composed the portrait photograph, then the candidature will be rejected
- Candidates must upload the scanned image of the signature. The signature of the candidates are required to be digitally photographed or scanned
- Applicants who apply for admission under the OBC-NCL category must upload the valid OBC-NCL certificate issued by a competent authority. The certificate is required to be issued by April 1, 2020 or later.
- ST/SC candidates will have to upload the scanned image of the caste certificate issued by a competent authority.
- The foreign candidates are required to upload the image of the first and the last page of their passport indicating their complete personal information clearly.
Step 4 - Make the payment
Candidates must pay the NID DAT application fee.
The registration fee of NID DAT 2021 varies for different categories.
