Overview
ഡോ.രാം മനോഹർ ലോഹ്യ നാഷണൽ ലോ യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി, 2005 ൽ ഉത്തർപ്രദേശ്( യു.പി.) നിയമമേഖലയിലെ പുതിയ വെല്ലുവിളികൾ നേരിടുന്നതിനും രാജ്യത്തെ ആദ്യത്തെ നാഷണൽ ലോ സ്കൂൾ സ്ഥാപിച്ചതിലൂടെ നൽകിയ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടിനെ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനുമായി 2005 ലെ നിയമപ്രകാരം 2006 ജനുവരി 4 ന് നിലവിൽ വന്നു. സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാരിൽ നിന്ന് ലിബറൽ ഗ്രാന്റുകൾ നേടുന്ന സർവകലാശാല, നിയമത്തെയും നിയമ പ്രക്രിയയെയും കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഠനവും അറിവും പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളിലും ഗവേഷകരിലും ഉത്തരവാദിത്തബോധം വളർത്തുന്നതിനും മികച്ച അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങളും അന്തരീക്ഷവും ഒരുക്കുന്നു. നിയമത്തെയും നിയമ പ്രക്രിയകളെയും കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഠനവും അറിവും ദേശീയ വികസനത്തിൽ അവയുടെ പങ്കും മുന്നോട്ട് കൊണ്ടുപോകുക, പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുക, അഭിഭാഷകവൃത്തി, ജുഡീഷ്യൽ, മറ്റ് നിയമ സേവനങ്ങൾ, നിയമനിർമ്മാണം, നിലവിലുള്ള നിയമങ്ങളിലെ നിയമ പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങിയവയിൽ കഴിവുകൾ വികസിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നിയമരംഗത്ത് സമൂഹത്തെ സേവിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള ഉത്തരവാദിത്തബോധം വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയിലും ഗവേഷക പണ്ഡിതനിലും വളർത്തുക. പ്രഭാഷണങ്ങൾ, സെമിനാറുകൾ, സിമ്പോസിയങ്ങൾ, കോൺഫറൻസുകൾ എന്നിവ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുക, നിയമപരമായ അറിവ് പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുക, നിയമവും നിയമ പ്രക്രിയയും സാമൂഹിക വികസനത്തിന്റെ കാര്യക്ഷമമായ ഉപകരണമാക്കുക; എന്നിവയാണ് യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്.
Programmes Offered
- The University currently offers B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) (Five years integrated programme), LL.M. (One year programme), Ph.D. and such other programme in accordance to such syllabus for each of the above courses as approved by the Executive Council on the recommendation of the Academic Council. The number of seats in each course shall be such as may be fixed from time to time by the Academic Council on the recommendation of the Director .
1.B.A. LL.B. (Hons)
Eligibility
- Passed, not less than five years previously, the Intermediate/Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) or an equivalent Examination from a University/recognized Board, and.
Has undergone a regular course of study in the University for a period of five academic years.
Entrance Examination
- The admission shall be based on the performance in the Common Law Admission Test(CLAT)
2.LLM
Eligibility
- The admission shall be based on the performance in the Common Law Admission Test. However, to qualify for admission, the candidate must have passed LL.B. Degree or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade.
Entrance Examination
- The admission shall be based on the performance in the Common Law Admission Test(CLAT)
3.Ph.D in Law
Eligibility
- Candidate has obtained the LL.M. Degree of Dr. R.M.L. National Law University, Lucknow or its equivalent Degree of any other university recognized by the UGC with at least 55% marks in the aggregate or an equivalent grade B in the UGC 7 point scale.
However, there shall be a relaxation of 5 % in the aforesaid minimum 55% marks for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) of U.P./differently-able categories.
Ph.D. in Allied Subjects:
Eligibility
- A Master's Degree of any university recognized by UGC having at least 55% marks in the aggregate or an equivalent grade B in the UGC 7 point scale in any subject of the proposed research work with a Bachelor's Degree in Law, or
A Master's Degree of any university recognized by UGC having at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade B in the UGC 7 point scale in any subject of the proposed research work with established research credentials by way of publications; or
A Master's Degree of any university recognized by UGC having at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade B in the UGC 7 point scale in any subject of the proposed research work with long term in-depth practical experience in the area to be researched. However, there shall be a relaxation of 5% in the aforesaid minimum 55% marks for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) of U.P./differently-able categories.
