The Government of Kerala has introduced various scholarships awarded to meritorious students of outstanding performance in the education sector as well as to the students of socially and economically backward categories. The government of Kerala provides District Merit Scholarship (DMS) to students who have passed all subjects in the SSLC examination with an A+ grade.

Application process

  • Candidates must visit the official website of DCE, Govt. Select "District Merit Scholarship (DMS)" from Kerala's scholarship list.
  • Then, click on “Apply Online” to redirect to the candidate login page.
  • Registered candidates can enter login details Or, click "New Registration" to create an account.
  • Fill out correct and valid details in the application form in capital letters.
  • Check the application thoroughly to avoid rejection by DCE, Govt of Kerala at the time of verification.
  • Upload scanned copies of all required documents along with the application. The documents should be attested by the Head of School/ College/ University.
  • Submit the completed application along with the required documents.
  • Then, you will receive an automated email with your login ID and password.
  • Keep the credentials safe for your future use.
  • Finally, take a printout of the DMS application form for future purposes

Documents required

  • A recent passport-size photograph
  • Attested copies of school/college certificates and mark sheets
  • Candidates' annual family income certificate and affidavit for any additional income
  • Attested copies of caste certificate
  • Age Proof (Birth Certificate or 10th Class Board Certificate)
  • Residential Proof (Electricity Bill, Ration Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, etc.)
  • Attested copies of disability certificates, if any
  • Bank account details of candidates in prescribed format
