Prof. Joseph Mundassery Scholarship
- The Joseph Mundassery Scholarship is an initiative of the Department of Minority Development, Government of Kerala which provides financial assistance to economically backward students to complete their education. The scholarship is provided to meritorious students belonging to minority communities such as Christian, Buddhism, Jain, Sikh, Muslim, or Parsi pursuing education at SSLC, Plus 2, and Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) level and are domicile of Kerala state.
Eligibility
- The applicants who are permanent residents of Kerala are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- The candidates should be having a bank account in their name in any of the Nationalized Banks.
- The applicant should be belonging to minority communities such as Christian, Buddhism, Jain, Sikh, Muslim, or Parsi.
- The students from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families are also eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- The candidate should be pursuing studies from a Government or Government-aided school/ institution.
- The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 8,00,000 from all sources.
Rewards and Benefits
- A scholarship amount of INR 10,000 is awarded to SSLC students with A+ grades in all subjects.
- UG level students with an academic score of 80% and above get a scholarship amount of INR 15,000.
- PG level students with an academic score of 75% and above get a scholarship amount of INR 15,000.
Application Process
- Interested applicants should visit the Minority Welfare Scholarships online portal.
- He/ she should click on the ‘Prof. Joseph Mundassery Scholarship Award (PJMS)’ link and should click on the ‘Apply Online’ button.
- The candidate should register on the portal and fill in important fields such as personal details, educational details, bank details, etc.
- He/ she should create a password to secure the account and for future login.
- The applicant should accept the terms and conditions mentioned in the declaration and then submit the Joseph Mudassery scholarship Registration application.
- The candidate should then click on the ‘Candidate Login’ and log in to the portal using the newly created credentials (ID and password) generated during the registration process.
- The applicant should upload the photo, signature, and all the relevant documents and take a printout of the submitted application.
- Finally, the candidate should sign and 'Submit' the application with all the supporting documents to the Directorate of Minority Welfare, 4th Floor, Vikas Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram - 695033.

- Scanned copy of Aadhar card/ NPR card
- Copy of SSLC/ Class 12/ VHSE mark sheet
- Copy of allotment memo
- Income certificate of the applicants’ parent/ guardian
- Copy of the first page of the bank passbook
- Residential certificate/ Domicile certificate
- Copy of Community certificate/ Minority certificate
- Copy of Nativity certificate
- Recent passport size photograph
- Printout of the Registration form with photo affixed
- Copy of Ration card
- BPL card (if applicable)
