മണിപ്പൂരിലെ നാഷണൽ സ്‌പോർട്‌സ് യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി 2018-ലാണ് സ്ഥാപിതമായത്.ഇംഫാലിലെ ഖുമാൻ ലമ്പക് സ്‌പോർട്‌സ് കോംപ്ലക്‌സിലെ താൽക്കാലിക കാമ്പസിൽ നിന്നാണ് സർവകലാശാല ഇപ്പോൾ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്.സ്‌പോർട്‌സ് സയൻസ്, സ്‌പോർട്‌സ് മെഡിസിൻ, അനുബന്ധ മേഖലകൾ എന്നിവയുടെ പുരോഗതിക്കും വികാസത്തിനും അനുസൃതമായി പുതിയ സ്‌കൂളുകൾ/ഡിപ്പാർട്ട്‌മെന്റുകൾ തുറക്കാനുള്ള സൗകര്യം നാഷണൽ സ്‌പോർട്‌സ് യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റിക്ക് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും.മികച്ച അന്താരാഷ്‌ട്ര സമ്പ്രദായങ്ങൾ അവലംബിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത കായിക ഇനങ്ങളുടെ ദേശീയ പരിശീലന കേന്ദ്രമായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നതിനു പുറമേ സ്‌പോർട്‌സ് സയൻസ്, സ്‌പോർട്‌സ് ടെക്‌നോളജി, സ്‌പോർട്‌സ് മാനേജ്‌മെന്റ്, സ്‌പോർട്‌സ് കോച്ചിംഗ് എന്നീ മേഖലകളിൽ കായിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുക എന്നതാണ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയുടെ പ്രധാന ലക്‌ഷ്യം
Under Graduate Programs
B.Sc.Sports Coaching
- The four-year program in Sports Coaching focuses on coaching methods and theories among other aspects like sports techniques, exercise physiology, teaching methods, etc. The program will help students develop a unique combination of skills, knowledge, and expertise in Sports Coaching.
Eligibility
- The Candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) scheme of examination or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Government.
- 45% aggregate marks for UR, EWS, OBC categories, Kashmiri Migrants & Kashmiri Pandit/ Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in Kashmir valley.40% aggregate marks for SC/ST category.
- The Candidate must have represented the country in Olympic Games/ World Championship/ World Cup/ Commonwealth Games/ Asian Games/ Asia Cup/ Asian Championship/Championship Trophy/ SAF Games/World University Games/ Khelo India/SGFI and other championships organized by International Federations/ Associations and funded by MYAS/ IOA/ National Federations/Associations recognized by the International body of the game
BPES - Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports
- The Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports program is designed for students to gain specialized knowledge in the areas of physical education and sports. The program helps you chalk out your pathway to becoming an innovator in the exciting world of physical education and sports.
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria that are common to the undergraduate programs offered by NSU are enumerated below
- Essential: The Candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) scheme of examination or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Government.
- 45% aggregate marks for UR, EWS, OBC categories, Kashmiri Migrants & Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in Kashmir valley.40% aggregate marks for SC/ST category.
- Desirable Qualification: Represented the Country in Olympic Games/World Championship/ World Cup/Commonwealth Games/Asian Games/Asia Cup/Asian Championship/ Championship Trophy/ SAF Games/ World University Games/ Khelo India/ SGFI and other championships organized by International Federations/Associations and funded by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS)/Indian Olympic Association (IOA) /National Federations/Associations recognized by the International body of the game. As per their sports achievement, the candidates get a score which is mentioned in ANNEXURE-C of the Prospectus
Post Graduate Programs
Masters of Science in Sports Coaching
- The postgraduate program in Sports Coaching provides training in coaching theory, methods, and ethics through both course work and independent research. It aims to provide students with the opportunity to learn and develop their coaching skills and prepare them for the world of professional coaching.
The eligibility criteria that are common to the undergraduate programs offered by NSU are enumerated below:
- In order to be eligible for admission to any of the undergraduate programs of three years or four years duration, the candidate must have a pass in Higher Secondary (10 + 2 scheme of examination or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University).
- The age of the candidate shall be above 17 years. However, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor may relax the minimum age criterion at his/her discretion.
- Admission shall be offered based purely on merit, i.e., based on the marks obtained in the Admission Test (Written Test, Sports Proficiency Test, and Physical Fitness Test), the marks scored by the candidate in the Qualifying Examination, or any other process as per the policy of the University, with due weightage for the Physical Fitness Test.
M.A Sports Psychology
- This two-year postgraduate program trains students to understand how the mind can impact human behavior and competitive sports performances. It is designed to equip students with the skills to measure psychological performance in a variety of sporting contexts, and the techniques essential for improving relevant psychological factors.
Eligibility
- Any individual who possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology/Physical Education/or Bachelor's Degree with Psychology as one of the subjects shall be eligible to apply for this program.
- Minimum marks for applying - 50% marks.
- Participation in Sports at State/District/College-level.
