Course Introduction:
ബി.എസ്സി. അപ്ലൈഡ് ബയോടെക്നോളജി അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അപ്ലൈഡ് ബയോടെക്നോളജിയിൽ സയൻസ് ബിരുദം ഒരു ബിരുദ ബയോടെക്നോളജി കോഴ്സാണ്. ബയോടെക്നോളജി എന്നത് ബയോളജിക്കൽ സയൻസസ്, എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ്, ടെക്നോളജി എന്നിവയുടെ സംയോജനമാണ്, ഈ കോഴ്സില്‍ ജൈവ തന്മാത്രകളുടെ ഗുണവിശേഷതകൾ മനുഷ്യൻ്റെ പ്രയോജനത്തിനായി എങ്ങനെ ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്താം എന്ന് പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. കോഴ്‌സിൻ്റെ കാലാവധി മൂന്ന് വർഷമാണ്, ആറ് സെമസ്റ്ററുകൾ ആയിട്ടാണ് ഈ കോഴ്സിനെ തീരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. കോഴ്‌സ് സമയത്ത് മോളിക്യുലർ ആൻ്റ് സെൽ ബയോളജി, മോളിക്യുലർ ജനിറ്റിക്സ്, ടിഷ്യു കൾച്ചർ, എന്നിങ്ങനെ ബയോടെക്നോളജിയുടെ പ്രധാന മേഖലകളായ അഗ്രികൾച്ചർ, ഇൻഡസ്ട്രിയൽ, മെഡിക്കൽ, എൻവയോൺമെൻ്റൽ ബയോടെക്നോളജി എന്നിവയെക്കുറിച്ച് ആഴത്തിലുള്ള അറിവ് വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്നു. ഈ പ്രോഗ്രാം മനുഷ്യരോഗങ്ങളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനം, കാരണം, അനുബന്ധ വിഷയങ്ങളായ മോളിക്യുലർ ബയോളജി, ഡവലപ്മെൻ്റ് ബയോളജി എന്നിവ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. വിവിധ മേഖലകളിൽ പഠനം പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയ ശേഷം അപേക്ഷകർക്കായി ധാരാളം കരിയർ സ്കോപ്പുകൾ തുറക്കുന്ന പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട ഡിഗ്രി കോഴ്സുകളിൽ ഒന്നാണിത്.
