Course Introduction:
എം.ഫാം. ബയോടെക്നോളജി അല്ലെങ്കിൽ മാസ്റ്റർ ഓഫ് ഫാർമസി ഇൻ ബയോടെക്നോളജി ഒരു ബിരുദാനന്തര ഫാർമസി കോഴ്സാണ്. എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ്, ടെക്നോളജി, മെഡിസിൻ, ബയോ ഉൽ‌പന്നങ്ങൾ ആവശ്യമായ മറ്റ് മേഖലകൾ എന്നിവയിൽ ജീവജാലങ്ങളുടെയും ബയോപ്രൊസസ്സുകളുടെയും ഉപയോഗം ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന പ്രായോഗിക ജീവശാസ്ത്ര മേഖലയാണ് ബയോടെക്നോളജി. ബയോടെക്നോളജി ഈ ഉൽ‌പ്പന്നങ്ങളെ ഉൽ‌പാദന ആവശ്യത്തിനായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. സമാന പദങ്ങളുടെ ആധുനിക ഉപയോഗത്തിൽ ജനിതക എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗും സെൽ-, ടിഷ്യു കൾച്ചർ സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യകളും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. കൂടുതൽ വ്യക്തമായി പറഞ്ഞാൽ, മൃഗങ്ങളെ വളർത്തുക, സസ്യങ്ങൾ കൃഷി ചെയ്യുക തുടങ്ങി കൃത്രിമ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പും ഹൈബ്രിഡൈസേഷനും ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ബ്രീഡിംഗ് പ്രോഗ്രാമുകളിലൂടെ മനുഷ്യൻ്റെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾക്കനുസൃതമായി ജീവജാലങ്ങളെ പരിഷ്കരിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള വിവിധ നടപടിക്രമങ്ങൾ ഈ ആശയം ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്നു.
