Course Introduction:
ദ്രവ്യത്തിന്റെ ശാസ്ത്രമാണ് രസതന്ത്രം, പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും അതിന്റെ ഗുണവിശേഷതകൾ, ഘടന, സ്വഭാവം, പ്രതികരണങ്ങൾ, ഇടപെടലുകൾ, അതിന് സംഭവിക്കുന്ന മാറ്റങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങിയവയാണ് പഠന വിഷയങ്ങള്. ജ്യോതിശാസ്ത്രം, ജിയോളജി, ബയോളജി തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രകൃതിശാസ്ത്രങ്ങളുമായി ഭൗതികശാസ്ത്രത്തെ ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ രസതന്ത്രത്തെ ചിലപ്പോൾ 'കേന്ദ്ര ശാസ്ത്രം' എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നു.
