ഇന്ത്യൻ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ഇൻഫർമേഷൻ ടെക്നോളജി (IIIT), കോട്ടയം 2015-ൽ പൊതു-സ്വകാര്യ പങ്കാളിത്ത (PPP) മോഡിൽ കേന്ദ്ര ഗവൺമെന്റ്, സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാർ, വ്യവസായ പങ്കാളികൾ എന്നിവയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ധനസഹായത്തോടെ സ്ഥാപിതമായി. ഈ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന് ഇന്ത്യാ ഗവൺമെന്റിന്റെ "ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് നാഷണൽ ഇംപോർട്ടൻസ്" പദവി നൽകി.53 ഏക്കർ സ്ഥലത്താണ് ഐഐഐടി കോട്ടയം കാമ്പസ് വലവൂരിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

M.Tech for Working Professionals (AI and Data Science)
Eligibility
- The candidate must have a minimum one year of work experience in industry and must be employed at the time of applying.
- The candidate must have a B.Tech /BE /AMIE degree or MCA or MSc / MS degree in CS /IT / Mathematics/ Physics/Statistics. The candidate should have scored at least 60% in the degree examination
MTech for Working Professionals
Eligibility
- The candidate must have a minimum one year of work experience in industry and must be employed at the time of applying.The candidate must have a B.Tech /BE /AMIE degree or MCA or MSc / MS degree in CS /IT / Mathematics/ Physics/Statistics. The candidate should have scored at least 60% in the degree examination.
Entrance Examination
- Admission to the B.Tech/B.Tech-MS programme will be based on performance in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)/Main conducted by National Testing Agency(NTA)

Specialisations
Computer Science and Engineering
Eligibility
- Master’s degree in Computer Engineering/Information Technology/ Computer Applications/ ECE or equivalent area with minimum CGPA of either 6.5 in a 10-point scale or 60% of marks in appropriate branches.
OR - Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Information Technology/ Electronics and Communication Engineering from any IIT’s, NIT’s, IIIT’s / Other Institutions of National Importance with a minimum CGPA of either 7.5 in a 10-point scale or 70% of marks. Such students will be awarded both MS and PhD degree on completion of PhD Programme without any exit option during the programme.
Electronics and Communication Engineering
Eligibility
- Master’s degree in ECE/ EEE or equivalent area with minimum CGPA of either 6.5 in a 10-point scale or 60% of marks in appropriate branches.
OR - Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electrical Engineering from any IIT’s, NIT’s, IIIT’s / Other Institutions of National Importance with a minimum CGPA of either 7.5 in a 10-point scale or 70% of marks. Computational Mathematics
Eligibility
- 2 years M.Sc. / Integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics/ Mathematics and Computing/ Applied Mathematics/Statistics or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
