Overview

1976-ൽ കൽക്കട്ട സർവകലാശാലയുടെ ബിരുദാനന്തര വിഭാഗമായി, 1987-ൽ സംസ്ഥാന സർവ്വകലാശാലയായും ഒടുവിൽ 2007-ൽ കേന്ദ്ര സർവ്വകലാശാലയായും ഉയർന്ന വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനമാണ് ത്രിപുര സർവ്വകലാശാല. അക്കാദമിക്, ഗവേഷണ പ്രവർത്തന മേഖലയിൽ ഗുണനിലവാരമുള്ള വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവും സാങ്കേതിക കണ്ടുപിടുത്തങ്ങളും നൽകിക്കൊണ്ട് ഈ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെയും പ്രദേശത്തെയും ജനങ്ങളെയും വികസിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും ശാക്തീകരിക്കുന്നതിനുമായി സർവകലാശാല പ്രതിജ്ഞാബദ്ധമാണ്.  നിലവിൽ വിദൂര വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ ഡയറക്ടറേറ്റിന് കീഴിലുള്ള നാല് വകുപ്പുകൾക്കൊപ്പം രണ്ട് ഫാക്കൽറ്റികളും നാൽപ്പത്തിനാല് വകുപ്പുകളും നാല് പഠന കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളും സർവകലാശാലയിലുണ്ട്.   ആധുനിക സാങ്കേതിക ഉപകരണങ്ങളുടെ തൊഴിൽ, സംവേദനാത്മക അധ്യാപന-പഠനത്തിന്റെ മൾട്ടിമീഡിയ മോഡ് സുഗമമാക്കുക. മാറുന്ന കാലത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യങ്ങളുമായി പൊരുത്തപ്പെടുന്നതിന്, കാര്യക്ഷമവും കൃത്യവും പരിസ്ഥിതി സൗഹൃദവുമായ ഭരണത്തിനായി സർവകലാശാല ക്രമേണ ഇ-ഗവേണൻസിലേക്ക് മാറുകയാണ്.
