Overview
ഇന്ത്യാ ഗവൺമെന്റിന്റെ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഗ്രാന്റ്‌സ് കമ്മീഷനു കീഴിലുള്ള ഒരു കേന്ദ്ര സർവ്വകലാശാലയാണ് മിസോറാം യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി, ഇത് 2001 ജൂലൈ 2-ന് ഇന്ത്യൻ പാർലമെന്റിന്റെ മിസോറാം യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ആക്റ്റ് (2000) പ്രകാരം സ്ഥാപിതമായി. ഇന്ത്യൻ രാഷ്ട്രപതിയാണ് ഔദ്യോഗിക സന്ദർശകൻ, മിസോറാം യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി (ഭേദഗതി) ബിൽ, 2007 പ്രകാരം മിസോറം ഗവർണർ ചീഫ് റെക്ടറായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു. ഈ നിയമം അനുസരിച്ച്, "നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ നൽകിക്കൊണ്ട് അറിവ് പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുകയും മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുക" എന്നതാണ് സർവ്വകലാശാലയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങൾ.
