Course Introduction:
എം.എസ്സി. റൂറൽ ഡെവലപ്‌മെന്റ് സയൻസ് അല്ലെങ്കിൽ റൂറൽ ഡെവലപ്‌മെന്റ് സയൻസിൽ മാസ്റ്റർ ഓഫ് സയൻസ് ഒരു ബിരുദാനന്തര മാനേജ്മെന്റ് കോഴ്‌സാണ്. താരതമ്യേന ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ടതും ജനസാന്ദ്രത കുറഞ്ഞതുമായ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ താമസിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ജീവിത നിലവാരവും സാമ്പത്തിക ക്ഷേമവും മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന പ്രക്രിയയാണ് ഗ്രാമവികസന ശാസ്ത്രം. ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രം, സാമൂഹ്യശാസ്ത്രം, പൊളിറ്റിക്കൽ സയൻസ്, സാമ്പത്തിക ശാസ്ത്രം, ബിസിനസ് ഭരണം, മനശാസ്ത്രം എന്നിവയെ ഇത് സമന്വയിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഗ്രാമീണ സമൂഹവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വികസന പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നതിന് ഗ്രാമവികസനത്തിന്റെ അച്ചടക്കം വളരെ പ്രധാനമാണ്. ഇന്ത്യൻ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ ഈ അച്ചടക്കം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നതിന് അത്യന്താപേക്ഷിതമായ വൈവിധ്യമാർന്ന അക്കാദമിക് ഉള്ളടക്കങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനാണ് കോഴ്‌സ് രൂപകൽപ്പന ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. കോഴ്‌സിന്റെ കാലാവധി രണ്ട് വർഷവും അതിന്റെ സിലബസ് നാല് സെമസ്റ്ററുകളായി തിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
Course Eligibility:
- Minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (SSLC, Plus Two) and Graduation with minimum 50% marks from any of the recognized University.
