Introduction
The Kerala government provides financial assistance to children whose mother or father both have died. Social Security Mission provides study assistance for children. The amount is given as monthly financial assistance. Students studying in Govt/Aided Institutions from 1st Class to Graduate level can apply for this scholarship.

Eligibility criteria
- The applicant's state should be Kerala
- The applicant must be an orphan
- Applicant must have studied in any government or private school in Kerala
- Applicants must be below the poverty line
- For children belonging to the APL category, the annual income should be less than 20,000 in rural areas less than 22,375 in an urban areas.
Application process
- The application form can be obtained from Government Head Office or Government Aided Educational Institution.
- Fill out the details in the application form and attach the required documents
- Submit the application at the institution from where you purchased the application form
- The officer will convert the application form into PDF format and submit it to the Executive Director of Kerala Social Security Mission in the online portal.

Scholarship rewards
- Class 1-5 - Rs.300 per month
