Introduction
University Grants Commission (UGC) Postgraduate Merit Scholarship is a scholarship awarded to university rank holders 2020-21 from first and second rank holders of undergraduate courses across the country. The aim of the scholarship is to encourage talented girls and boys to pursue postgraduate education. Also helps the students with their study expenses.

Eligibility criteria
- Applicant must be below 30 years of age.
- Should be pursuing Post Graduate Course from any Affiliated University (Central /State) or Deemed Universities / Private Universities / Autonomous Colleges / Affiliated Colleges.
- Should be rank holder (Ist or IInd) in previous graduation examination
- Life Science, Physical Science, Chemical Science, Earth Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Commerce or Languages, with minimum of 60% marks in Graduation in any of these.
Scholarship rewards
- The scholarship will provide financial assistance of Rs 3,100 per month for two years
Application process
The application process will be done through online mode only.
- Click https://www.ugc.ac.in/urh/ to apply online
- If New Applicant / Click on Register Link. Then read all instructions and guidelines carefully. After that, click Continue to register.
- After successful registration, enter the application ID and verify your OTP sent to the registered mobile number.
- Then log in to the account and enter all the required details.
- Upload all required documents and click on submit button.
- Finally, take a printout of the filled application form for further use.
