Course Introduction:
ഊർജ്ജ ഉൽപാദനത്തിനോ മനുഷ്യവികസനത്തിനോ വേണ്ടി ഒരു വ്യവസായത്തിലെ രാസപ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളുടെ രൂപകൽപ്പനയും മേൽനോട്ടവും കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്ന വളർന്നുവരുന്ന കരിയറുകളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് കെമിക്കൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ്. നിലവിലെ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ, ജലവൈദ്യുത, സൗരോർജ്ജം പോലുള്ള പുനരുപയോഗർജ്ജസ്രോതസ്സുകളിലേക്ക് ആഗോളമാറ്റം നടക്കുന്നതിനാൽ കെമിക്കൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് പ്രാധാന്യമർഹിക്കുന്നു. ഈ വിഭവങ്ങൾക്ക് നമ്മുടെ ഊർജ്ജ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ നിറവേറ്റാൻ കഴിയുമെന്ന് ഉറപ്പാക്കാൻ ഈ മേഖലകൾക്ക് നവീകരണവും വികസനവും ആവശ്യമാണ്. കെമിക്കൽ എഞ്ചിനീയർമാരുടെ പ്രധാന ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം ഭൗതികശാസ്ത്രം, രസതന്ത്രം, ഗണിതശാസ്ത്രം, ജീവശാസ്ത്രം എന്നിവയുടെ തത്ത്വങ്ങൾ പ്രയോഗിക്കുക എന്നതാണ്. വലിയ തോതിലുള്ള നിർമ്മാണപ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്കായുള്ള ഡിസൈൻ ഉപകരണങ്ങളും പ്രക്രിയകളും,രാസവസ്തുക്കൾ, മയക്കുമരുന്ന്, ഭക്ഷണം, മറ്റ് നിരവധി ഉൽപ്പന്നങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയുടെ ഉത്പാദനമോ ഉപയോഗമോ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ പരിഹരിക്കുക. എന്നി കാര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം ഈ കോഴ്‌സിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്.
