എയറോനോട്ടിക്കൽ ടെക്നോളജികളെക്കുറിച്ചു കൂടുതൽ മനസിലാക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ സഹായിക്കുന്നതിനും വിവിധ വ്യോമയാന, എയർ സ്പേസ് ആശയങ്ങൾ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നതുമായ മൂന്ന് വർഷത്തെ ബിരുദ കോഴ്സാണ് ബി.എസ്സി എയറോനോട്ടിക്കൽ സയൻസ്. വിമാനത്തിൻ്റെ നിർമ്മാണത്തിലും പ്രവർത്തനത്തിലും ഏർപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വിവിധ ശാസ്ത്രങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടായ പേരാണ് എയറോനോട്ടിക്കൽ സയൻസ്. “എയറോനോട്ടിക്കൽ” എന്ന വാക്കിന്റെ അർത്ഥം “വായുവിൽസഞ്ചരിക്കുക” എന്നാണ്. എയറോനോട്ടിക്കൽ സയൻസ് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നിർമ്മിക്കുന്ന വിമാനങ്ങൾ ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉപരിതലത്തിലൂടെയുള്ള യാത്രകൾക്ക് മാത്രമാണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുവാൻ സാധിക്കുക.
