ഇന്ത്യൻ ഗവൺമെന്റിന്റെ മാനവ വിഭവശേഷി വികസന മന്ത്രാലയം 2016-ൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് സയൻസ് എജ്യുക്കേഷൻ ആൻഡ് റിസർച്ച് ബെർഹാംപൂർ അടിസ്ഥാന ശാസ്ത്രങ്ങളിലെ അധ്യാപനത്തിനും ഗവേഷണത്തിനുമായി സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു മികവിന്റെ കേന്ദ്രമാണ്. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ശാസ്ത്രവിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിലെ ഒരു അതുല്യമായ സംരംഭമെന്ന നിലയിൽ, ജിജ്ഞാസയും സർഗ്ഗാത്മകതയും പരിപോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്ന തരത്തിൽ, ഉയർന്ന നിലവാരമുള്ള അധ്യാപനത്തിനും അത്യാധുനിക ഗവേഷണത്തിനും സമർപ്പിതമായി സമർപ്പിതമായി ഉയർന്ന നിലവാരമുള്ള ഒരു സർവ്വകലാശാലയാണ് IISER ബെർഹാംപൂർ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്.
1.Bachelor Of Science - Master Of Science (BS-MS)
BS-MSprogrammes offeres in the following subjects
- Bological Science
- Physical Science
- Mathematical Science
- Physical Science
Eligibility
- It is a five year dual degree program for bright and motivated science students who have passed class XII.
Entrance Examination
- Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Basic Science Stream: Candidates having a valid KVPY fellowship are eligible to apply for admissions. Additional cut off criteria may be applicable.
- Joint Entrance Exam (Advanced): Candidates in General category securing a rank within 10000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced are eligible to apply. For candidates belonging to reserved category (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PD), their category rank would be used. Additional cut off criteria may be applicable.
- State and Central Boards: Students who have passed (10+2) level with science stream during the current or previous year with marks equal or above the cut off percentage in their respective boards are eligible to apply. For the candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer of the Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) and Persons with Disability (PD) categories, there is a 5% relaxation. The cut-off percentage for the Scheduled Castes (SC), the Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Kashmiri Migrants (KM) candidates is 55% in (10+2) level for all boards. Students applying through SCB channel will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test which will be conducted at various centers across the country. To calculate your percentage of marks obtained use your board’s method.
- Indian nationals and students belonging to PIO or OCI category are eligible to apply provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria described above.
Scholarship
- KVPY scholars admitted to IISERs would draw fellowship as per KVPY norms. In addition, a limited number of INSPIRE scholarships will be available for candidates admitted through JEE Advanced and SCB channels as per the norms prescribed by DST INSPIRE scheme.
Reservation
- IISERs follow Government of India rules regarding reservation for seat allocation in Central institutes of higher education.
2.Doctoral Programme (PhD)
The Institute offers PhD programmes in the following disciplines:Biological Sciences,Chemistry,Mathematics,Physics
Eligibility
- The Institute offers Ph.D. programmes in four disciplines. A prospective candidate should have completed a postgraduate programme (M.S./M.Sc./M.Tech./MBBS) in a discipline relevant to his/her choice of Ph.D. programme along with qualifying a national entrance exam.
3.Integrated Ph.D. Programme
- IISER Berhampur is offering a highly competitive Integrated Ph.D. (iPhD) programme in Biological, Chemical, Mathematical and Physical Sciences to bright and highly motivated undergraduate students keen on pursuing a career in the frontier areas of research in basic sciences.
Biological Sciences
- Students with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (overall percentage with all subjects where an Honours system is not applicable) in Bachelor's or any equivalent degree Or Students with 60% marks in the Honours/major subject in aggregate (where such a system is applicable) in Bachelor's or any equivalent degree.Subject area: Biological Sciences (All areas)/Environmental Sciences/ Mathematics/ Chemistry /Physics / Medical Sciences / Engineering.If the scoring system follows a CGPI, the minimum score should be 6.0 on a 10-point scale.JGEEBILS (conducted in Dec 2020) or JAM -2022 (BL - Biological Sciences or BT - Biotechnology)
Chemical Sciences
- Students with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (overall percentage with all subjects where an Honours system is not applicable) in Bachelors or equivalent degree.or60% marks in the Honours/major subject in aggregate (where such a system is applicable) in Bachelors or equivalent degree.Subjects/Area: Chemistry (All areas) /Mathematics/ Biological Sciences /Physics / Medical Sciences / Earth and Environmental Sciences/ Environmental Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry.If the scoring system follows a CGPI, the minimum score should be 6.0 on a 10-point scale. JAM (Chemistry) 2022
Mathematical Sciences
- Students with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (overall percentage with all subjects where an Honours system is not applicable) in Bachelor's or equivalent degree.or 60% marks in the Honours/major subject only in aggregate (where such a system is applicable) in Mathematics /Statistics/ Mathematical Sciences (All areas) or any equivalent degree.If the scoring system follows a CGPI, the minimum score should be 6.0 on a 10-point scale in BA/B.Sc/B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent satisfying one of the above criteria.JAM 2022 (MA - Mathematics or MS-Mathematical Statistics)or Valid NBHM PhD examination score.
Physical Sciences
- Students with minimum60% marks in aggregate (overall percentage with all subjects where an Honours system is not applicable) in Bachelor’s or equivalent degree.or60% marks in the honours/major subject in aggregate (where such a system is applicable) in Bachelor’s or equivalent degree.If the scoring system follows a CGPI, the minimum score should be 6.0 on a 10-point scale JAM (Physics) 2022 or JEST (Physics) 2022.
Entrance Examination
- Students should have a valid National level examination like National Test(NET)/GATE/UGC-JRF/CSIR-JRF/DBT (JRF A category)/ICMR (JRFcategoryI)/NET-LS/INSPIRE-Ph.D./RajivGandhi Fellowship/JGEEBILS or any other recognized score is mandatory. The certificate/fellowship MUST be valid at the time of admission.
