പാർലമെന്റിന്റെ സെൻട്രൽ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ആക്റ്റ്-2009 പ്രകാരം XI പഞ്ചവത്സര പദ്ധതിയിൽ (2007-2012) ഇന്ത്യാ ഗവൺമെന്റിന്റെ മാനവ വിഭവശേഷി വികസന മന്ത്രാലയം (ജിഒഎൽ) സ്ഥാപിച്ച പതിനഞ്ച് പുതിയ കേന്ദ്ര സർവ്വകലാശാലകളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് ഹരിയാന സെൻട്രൽ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി.ഒരു ശക്തമായ സ്വഭാവം കെട്ടിപ്പടുക്കുന്നതിലൂടെയും മൂല്യാധിഷ്ഠിത സുതാര്യമായ തൊഴിൽ നൈതികത പരിപോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിലൂടെയും, ജനങ്ങളുടെ സമഗ്രവികസനത്തിനും സ്വയം നിലനിൽപ്പിനുമായി സർഗ്ഗാത്മകവും വിമർശനാത്മകവുമായ ചിന്തകൾ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക,വിജ്ഞാന സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ സൃഷ്‌ടിക്കായി,മൾട്ടി ഡിസിപ്ലിനറി പഠനത്തിലൂടെ മാറ്റത്തിന്റെ വഴിവിളക്കായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുക, എന്നതാണ് സെൻട്രൽ അഗ്രിക്കൾച്ചറൽ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങൾ.

- The Dept. of History and Archeology has been set up in the year 2014 with the aim to impart the education of history to the interested young generation. - The Department of Sociology is one of the latest departments of the University, which was introduced in the academic year 2014-15. It currently offers an M.A. program in the discipline. This Department is functioning under the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, which is the oldest and the founding School of the University.

Department of Biochemistry
- The Department of Biochemistry, incepted in 2015 in the School of Interdisciplinary and Applied Sciences (SIAS), Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh, offers excellent teaching and research. Biochemistry is one of the core subjects that interconnects every other field of science and this department is one of the forefront departments of the School, it is determined to offer excellent education and research and promotes both teaching and research hand-in-hand.
