Overview
സെൻട്രൽ യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി ആക്‌ട് (2009) വഴി ഇന്ത്യൻ പാർലമെന്റ് സ്ഥാപിതമായ ഗുജറാത്ത് സെൻട്രൽ യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി (സിയുജി) അതിന്റെ പ്രധാന ലക്ഷ്യമായി കണക്കാക്കുന്നത് വിജ്ഞാന സൃഷ്ടിയുടെയും പങ്കുവയ്ക്കലിന്റെയും വ്യാപനവും പുരോഗതിയുമാണ്. എൻഐആർഎഫ് 2016 റാങ്കിംഗിൽ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ മൊത്തത്തിൽ 60-ാം സ്ഥാനവും ഗുജറാത്തിലെ എല്ലാ സർവ്വകലാശാലകളിൽ രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനവും സെൻട്രൽ യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി ഓഫ് ഗുജറാത്ത് നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. എൻഐആർഎഫ് 2017 അനുസരിച്ച്, രാജ്യത്തെ മികച്ച 150 സർവ്വകലാശാലകളിൽ ഈ സർവകലാശാല സ്ഥാനം പിടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഗുണനിലവാരമുള്ള വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രവേശനം നൽകുകയും ഉയർന്നുവരുന്ന നൂതനത്വങ്ങളോടും സാങ്കേതിക വെല്ലുവിളികളോടും ഫലപ്രദമായി ഇടപഴകാൻ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള അവസരങ്ങൾ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുക എന്നതാണ് സിയുജി യുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം.

- The Master of Library and Information Science course also has the objective of democratizing access to information by training graduates from different backgrounds to become proactive knowledge workers in the process of collecting, organizing, consolidating, and disseminating the knowledge for social transformation, scientific and technological growth and economic prosperity. The admission is done through an all-India test and the intake of 25 students.

- The B.A. (Hons.) The program focuses on intensive language learning in the first year. Students are trained in the skills of writing, reading, speaking and comprehension according to updated pedagogy in Foreign Language Teaching.
M.A. in German Studies
- The M.A. program offers a range of fields like genres of literature, literary movements, periods in literary history, translation & interpretation, linguistics, didactics of the German Language, the cultural and political history. In the final semester of the M.A. students are required to write a dissertation on an area of their choice

- The Centre for Strategic Technologies is one of the two new centers established under the School of National Security Studies in 2018. The center occupies a unique place in the Indian university system because for the first time a teaching and research center has been established purely to study the evolution, future development trajectories, and impact of strategic technologies on the society, military, economy, and the country at large.
