Overview
ഭരത് ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് സയൻസ് ആൻഡ് ടെക്നോളജി (ബിഐഎസ്ടി) തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ സ്വാശ്രയ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് കോളേജായി ശ്രീ ലക്ഷ്മി അമ്മാൾ എഡ്യൂക്കേഷണൽ ട്രസ്റ്റുമായി 1984-ൽ ഡോ. എസ്. ജഗത്രക്ഷകൻ ആരംഭിച്ചു. ട്രസ്റ്റ് പിന്നീട് 1989-ൽ ശ്രീ ബാലാജി ഡെന്റൽ കോളേജും ഹോസ്പിറ്റലും സ്ഥാപിച്ചു. UGC ആക്ട് 1956 ലെ സെക്ഷൻ 3 പ്രകാരം 2002 ജൂലൈയിൽ MHRD യുടെ ഒരു ഡീംഡ് ടു യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി ആയി ശ്രീ ബാലാജി ഡെന്റൽ കോളേജും ഹോസ്പിറ്റലും ആദ്യമായി അംഗീകരിച്ചു. ഭാരത് ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ഹയർ എജ്യുക്കേഷൻ ആൻഡ് റിസർച്ച് (BIHER). ഭാരത് ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് സയൻസ് ആൻഡ് ടെക്നോളജിയും (ബിഐഎസ്ടി) മറ്റ് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളും ഭാരത് ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ഹയർ എജ്യുക്കേഷൻ ആൻഡ് റിസർച്ചിന്റെ (ബിഎച്ച്ഇആർ) പരിധിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.
