പഞ്ചാബിലെ രാജീവ് ഗാന്ധി നാഷണൽ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫ് ലോ (ആർജിഎൻയുഎൽ) പഞ്ചാബ് ആക്റ്റ്, 2006 (പഞ്ചാബ് ആക്റ്റ് നമ്പർ 12, 2006) പ്രകാരമാണ് പാസാക്കിയത്. അത്യാധുനിക-അക്കാദമിക് ബ്ലോക്ക്, ലൈബ്രറി, ഓഡിറ്റോറിയം, സ്‌പോർട്‌സ് കോംപ്ലക്‌സ്, ആൺകുട്ടികളുടെയും പെൺകുട്ടികളുടെയും ഹോസ്റ്റലുകൾ, അതിഥി മന്ദിരം, കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി ഹാൾ, ഹെൽത്ത് സെന്റർ, റെസിഡൻസസ്, സ്റ്റേഡിയം, ജിംനേഷ്യം, കാന്റീന്, സൗകര്യങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയെല്ലാം ഈ അത്യാധുനിക കാമ്പസിലുണ്ട്. ആർജിഎൻയുഎൽ ഒരു റെസിഡൻഷ്യൽ കാമ്പസാണ്. ഓരോ മുറിയുടെയും എയർ കണ്ടീഷനിംഗ് ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള ആധുനിക സൗകര്യങ്ങൾ ഹോസ്റ്റലുകളിലുണ്ട്. ലോകോത്തര ലൈബ്രറി സേവനങ്ങളും പുസ്‌തകങ്ങളുടെയും ജേണലുകളുടെയും സമ്പന്നമായ ശേഖരം ഉള്ള ഈ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറൈസ്ഡ് വൈ-ഫൈ ലൈബ്രറിയുടെ അലമാരയിൽ 39000-ലധികം വാല്യങ്ങളുണ്ട്, അതിൽ പ്രിന്റ്, ഇലക്‌ട്രോണിക് ഫോർമാറ്റുകളിൽ നിയമപരമായ വിഭവങ്ങളുടെ സമഗ്രമായ ഒരു നിര ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.സർവകലാശാല പതിനേഴ് ഗവേഷണ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
Programmes Offered
1.B.A.LL.B. (HONS.)
- RGNUL offers B.A.LL.B. (Hons.)Five-Year Integrated Programme where under Social Sciences subjects like Economics, English, History, Political Science and Sociology are taught as major and minor subjects along with Law subjects in the first three years of study. From third year on wards, the curriculum comprises of Law subjects and one major subject. All subjects are compulsory in the first three years of study.
Eligibility
- The candidate must have passed Plus two examination of the Punjab School Education Board or its equivalent with minimum 45% marks in the aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST)
The candidates appearing in or awaiting results of the qualifying examination held or being held in March/April may also apply and appear for the Combined Law Admission Test (CLAT) provisionally, subject to the condition that they shall produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed percentage of marks at the time of their interview/counseling for admission at RGNUL.
The Candidature of :those who do not clear the qualifying examination with the requisite marks and or fail to produce result on the date of interview/counseling, orthose who get compartments/re-appear in any subject in the qualifying examination, shall be cancelled and subsequent securing qualifying marks shall not be considered in any case.
Entrance Examination
- The Admission is based on the merit in the Common Admission Test (CLAT)
3.LLM
- The RGNUL offers one-year LL.M. Post Graduation Course with specialization in Business Law, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law and International Law. (Specialization will be offered subject to the condition of minimum five students opting the same)
Eligibility
- Candidates appearing in/awaiting results of the qualifying examination being held in April/May may also apply and appear provisionally for the Admission Test, subject to the condition that they shall produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed marks at the time of interview/counselling.
4.LLM(Executive)
- The LL.M (Executive) programme shall be a course equivalent to a Post Graduate Diploma for the Executives/professionals. This programme is designed to enhance legal knowledge, with a focus on specific areas of interest. The medium of instructions and examination in the LL.M. (Executive) programme shall be English. The course shall be divided into two Semesters, Part -I and Part–II, in one Academic Year.
5.MBA(Law)
- The two-year MBA (Law) course is a distinctive program for the young and creative minds who understand the power of doing things differently. This program is for students who wish to gain expertise in both, legal and management practices. It aims to equip the students with the tools to understand legalities from the perspective of a businessman and to understand business from the perspective of a lawyer. The degree aims at bridging the knowledge gap by bringing law and management together.
Eligibility
- A graduate of any discipline from a recognized university/institute, with a minimum of 55 % marks (50% in case of SC/ST candidates) in the aggregate of all years of the respective course

6.PG Diploma In Prison Administration
Eligibility
- The eligibility for admission to Diploma Course shall be Graduate Degree in any stream with not less than 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/PWD Categories) from the recognized University.
7.Ph.D in Law
- The objectives of Post-Doctoral Research is to provide higher quality of learning and training to the qualified academician/professional in law/related
Eligibility
- For the Post Doctor research work a researcher must have a doctoral degree from a recognized University.
