Introduction
Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship, Kerala is a distinctive scholarship run by the Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Kerala to promote the higher education of students. It provides financial assistance to meritorious students who are domiciles of Kerala and belong to a BPL family.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be a native of Kerala
- Be studying in the first year of undergraduate or postgraduate course in Govt/ Aided colleges or University Departments
- Belong to a BPL family
- Have scored 50% or above in the qualifying examination
Scholarship rewards
- The selected students will get a scholarship of INR 10,000 per annum for the duration of their course.
Application process
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship by following the steps below -
- Step 1: Visit the official website and click on the 'Apply Now button.
- Step 2: Read the guidelines carefully, select the undertaking, and 'Continue'.
- Step 3: Fill in the registration details of matriculation or equivalent examination.
- Step 4: A registration ID will be generated automatically.
- Step 5: Proceed to complete the registration process and submit. (Important: Note down the registration ID as well as the password for further reference.)
- Step 6: Click on 'Candidate Login' to complete the application process.

- Mark sheet of last qualifying examination
- Domicile certificate
- Course certificate of current educational course
- Parents’ income certificate
- Copy of the first page of your bank passbook
- Proof of admission to the educational institution
- Electronic Clearing Service(ECS) form from the bank where the applicant has an account
