Course Introduction:
ഒരു ബിരുദാനന്തര പരിസ്ഥിതി സയൻസ് കോഴ്സാണ് ആവാസ കേന്ദ്രവും പോപ്പുലേഷൻ പഠനവും, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ മാസ്റ്റർ ഓഫ് സയൻസ്. മനുഷ്യവാസ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ, മനുഷ്യ ആരോഗ്യം, ഗ്രാമീണ-നഗരവാസങ്ങൾ, ജനസംഖ്യാ സമ്മർദ്ദം, പരിസ്ഥിതി, വികസന പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ, ജനസംഖ്യാ വിസ്ഫോടനങ്ങൾ, വിവാഹബന്ധം, ഫലഭൂയിഷ്ഠത എന്നീ മേഖലകളിലെ വർദ്ധിച്ചുവരുന്ന ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ നിറവേറ്റുന്നതിനാണ് കോഴ്‌സ് രൂപകൽപ്പന ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. ജനസംഖ്യാ വ്യതിയാനത്തിന് അടിസ്ഥാനമായ പ്രക്രിയകളിലോ ചരിത്രപരവും സാംസ്കാരികവുമായ സന്ദർഭങ്ങളിലോ പ്രോഗ്രാം ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കുന്നു. ജനനം, വിവാഹം, വിവാഹമോചനം, ആരോഗ്യത്തിലെ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ, കുടിയേറ്റം, മരണം തുടങ്ങിയ ജീവിത സംഭവങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചും കോഴ്‌സ് ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കുന്നു. പാശ്ചാത്യ, പാശ്ചാത്യേതര രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ ജനസംഖ്യാ പ്രതിഭാസങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചും കോഴ്സിൽ പഠിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്
Course Eligibility:
- Aspiring candidates should have passed a B.Sc. or any other equivalent qualification in relevant subject with minimum 60% marks.

- able to assess and understand contemporary and future issues of population and development.
- special competence in the application of demographic skills to solving problems in population-environment relations.
