Eligibility

• Candidates who have been awarded 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ BSc (Engineering) from recognized University with a valid GATE score or Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of sciences with a first class or minimum 60% marks (CGPA 6.5) or equivalent and a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR fellowship are eligible to apply for admission to M. Tech.

Eligibility

• A candidate who has passed the examination for the award of Bachelor’s degree in Science from a recognized university, in the concerned discipline as one of the major subjects at Bachelor’s level, with first class or minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale are eligible to apply for admission to M. Sc. Programme of the Institute. For admission to M. Sc. Programme in the discipline of Physics, candidates must have taken Mathematics as of one of the subjects at Bachelor’s level. Relaxation of 5% marks/0.5 CGPA at Bachelor’s Level shall be permissible for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories.

 Eligibility

• The candidate must have bachelor’s degree in any stream with 60% marks for General/OBC/EWS candidates and 55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates or equivalent CGPA (more than or equal to 6.5 CGPA for General/OBC/EWS candidates and 6 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates)

 Eligibility

• The Candidate should be B.E./B. Tech. and/or M.E./M. Tech. in the relevant branches of Engineering/Technology out of which either B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M. Tech. should be in Biotechnology.

2.Ph.D in Chemical Engineering

 Eligibility

• The qualification for admission to PhD programme in the Department is Master Degree in Chemical Engineering or its allied branches

3.Ph.D in Textile Technology

 Eligibility

• The qualification for admission to PhD programme is M. Tech. in any discipline whereas B.Tech. should be in Textile Technology/Engineering.

 4.Ph.D in Science

 Eligibility

• Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of Science with a first class or minimum 60% Marks (or CGPA of 6.5 on 10 point scale) in the qualifying examination.

 5.Ph.D in Humanties

 Eligibility

• PhD (English Literature): Master’s degree in English or English Language Teaching with at least 55% marks or a CGPA of 6.0 on 10 point scale.
• PhD (Linguistics): Master’s degree in Linguistics or English or English Language Teaching with at least 55% marks or a CGPA of 6.0 on 10 point scale.

Entrance Examination

• Candidates with GATE/NET(JRF/LS)/UGC(JRF/LS)/Inspire Fellow/Sponsored by some outside agency as a full-time candidate need not clear Institute written examination.

 6.Ph.D in Management

 Eligibility

• PhD (Management): Master’s degree in Management or Commerce with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on 10 point scale. Only primary mode of evaluation (CGPA or percentage) as mentioned in the qualifying degree certificate/mark sheet will be considered while verifying Entrance Examination.
