ഇന്ത്യൻ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ഇൻഫർമേഷൻ ടെക്നോളജി ആക്ട്, 2017 പ്രകാരം ഇന്ത്യാ ഗവൺമെന്റ് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ മന്ത്രാലയം സ്ഥാപിച്ച ഇന്ത്യൻ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ഇൻഫർമേഷൻ ടെക്നോളജികളിൽ ഒന്നാണിത്.ഇന്ത്യൻ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ഇൻഫർമേഷൻ ടെക്നോളജി വഡോദര (IIIT-V) വിവര സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യയിൽ പുതിയ അറിവ് വികസിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും നൽകുന്നതിനുമായി ദേശീയ പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ള ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് എന്ന നിലയിൽ പൊതു സ്വകാര്യ പങ്കാളിത്തത്തിന് (പിപിപി) കീഴിൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഗവൺമെന്റ് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ മന്ത്രാലയം (എംഒഇ) സ്ഥാപിച്ചു.ഗവൺമെന്റ് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ, ഗുജറാത്ത് ഗവൺമെന്റ്, ഗുജറാത്ത് എനർജി റിസർച്ച് ആൻഡ് മാനേജ്‌മെന്റ് ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട്, ഗുജറാത്ത് സ്റ്റേറ്റ് ഫെർട്ടിലൈസേഴ്‌സ് ആൻഡ് കെമിക്കൽസ്, ടാറ്റ കൺസൾട്ടൻസി സർവീസസ് എന്നിവയാണ് ഈ പദ്ധതിയുടെ പങ്കാളികൾ. 2013-ലാണ് ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് സ്ഥാപിതമായത്.വഡോദരയിലെ ദുമാദിൽ 50 ഏക്കർ സ്ഥലവും ഗാന്ധിനഗറിലെ ജിഇസിയിൽ ഒരു അക്കാദമിക് ബ്ലോക്കും നൽകി ഗുജറാത്ത് സർക്കാർ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ടിന് പിന്തുണ നൽകി.

1.B .Tech 

  • Bachelor of Technology - Computer Science and Engineering
  • Bachelor of Technology - Information Technology

Eligibility

  • Admissions to the four year B.Tech. Program in both the branches (IT & CSE) of the Institute is made through the examination conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) under the name and style of JEE (Main). 

2.M.Tech 

  • Master of Technology - Computer Science and Engineering

Entrance Examination

  • Admissions to the M.Tech. (CSE/ECE) Program is made through the Centralized Counselling for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./M.Des. admissions (CCMT). Official notification of the admissions is given wide publicity through national dailies during March-April every year. CCMT is on-line admission process for NITs and many IIITs including other national level institutions. It is a merit based admission considering valid GATE score and qualifying degree norms as declared by the CCMT.

3.PhD Program

Eligibility 

Engineering

  • First class in M.Tech./ME in CS/IT/ECE or related areas, OR
  • First class in M.Sc. Applied Mathematics/Computer Science and related areas, OR 
  • Exceptional candidates with more than 8.00 CPI on scale of 10 in B.E/B.Tech. in relevant areas may also be considered.

Physics

  • First class in M.Sc. (Physics) and related areas
