Course Introduction:

ആരോഗ്യസംരക്ഷണ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾക്കായി (ഉദാ. ഡയഗ്നോസ്റ്റിക് അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ചികിത്സാ) എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് തത്വങ്ങളും ഡിസൈൻ ആശയങ്ങളും മെഡിസിൻ, ബയോളജിഎന്നീ വിഷയങ്ങളുടെയും ആപ്ലിക്കേഷൻ ആണ് ബയോമെഡിക്കൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് (ബിഎംഇ) ബി‌എം‌ഇയെ  "ബയോ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ്" എന്നും വിളിക്കുന്നു.ബയോമെഡിക്കൽ എഞ്ചിനീയർമാർ സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യയിലും വൈദ്യത്തിലും മുന്നേറുന്നതിൽ ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കുന്നു. ഉദാഹരണത്തിന്, പുതിയ ചികിത്സകൾ പരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനായി മെഡിക്കൽ ഉപകരണങ്ങൾ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടർ സിമുലേഷനുകൾ പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന്  സോഫ്റ്റ് വെയർ രൂപകൽപ്പന ചെയ്യുന്നു.
