The department of minority welfare under the government of Kerala invites applications for the Mother Teresa Scholarship (MTS). The students in Kerala who belong to the minority communities and are pursuing a diploma course in nursing or paramedical are eligible to apply for the Mother Teresa scholarship. The program aims to support and motivate students from weaker sections of society. The students selected for this scholarship program will receive INR 15,000 each year for their education.
Eligibility
- The candidates should be a native of Kerala.
- They should belong to the minority communities such as Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Sikh, Jains or Parsis.
- Applicants who have enrolled in paramedical or nursing diploma courses can apply for the Mother Teresa scholarship 2021.
- Their family income should not exceed INR 8,00,000 per annum.

Application Process
- Step 1: The candidates should visit the official minority welfare scholarship website.
- Step 2: They should click on the apply online button available on the left side of the screen.
- Step 3: Next, they should fill in the online registration form by filling in their personal, educational, and bank details and creating a password.
- Step 4: The applicants should create a user ID and password before filling in the Mother Teresa scholarship application form.
- Step 5: Next, they should click on the candidate login button, enter the details such as the user ID and password, and click on the login button.
- Step 6: After logging in, the candidates should attach the necessary documents, including their photo and signature.
- Step 7: They should take a printout of the Mother Teresa scholarship application form for further use.
- Step 8: The candidates should sign the hard copy of the Mother Teresa scholarship application form, attach it with the necessary documents and submit it to the institution.
Rewards
- The state government of Kerala aims to motivate minority students who want to pursue an education in allied health sciences. Therefore, it offers INR 15,000 per annum as financial support to students pursuing a diploma course in nursing and paramedical. Besides the Mother Teresa scholarship rewards, the state government also offers other minority welfare scholarships to uplift the lives of the minorities. The department of minority welfare will directly credit the scholarship amount to the beneficiary’s bank account.
