Course Introduction:

സിവിൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗിന്റെ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക ശാഖയാണ് ജിയോ ടെക്നിക്കൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗിലെ എംടെക്. രണ്ടുവർഷത്തെ ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദ പദ്ധതിയാണിത്, വിവിധതരം മണ്ണിൻ്റെ  പഠനവും, ലോഡുകളുടെയും മണ്ണ്-ജല ഇടപെടലുകളുടെയും സ്വാധീനത്തിൽ അതിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനവും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. ഭൂകമ്പങ്ങൾ, മണ്ണിടിച്ചിൽ, ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുകൾ, വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കം തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രകൃതിദുരന്തങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള അപകടസാധ്യതകൾ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നതിന് വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ പരിശീലിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനാണ് കോഴ്‌സ് രൂപകൽപ്പന ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഈ കോഴ്സിൻ്റെ പാഠ്യപദ്ധതി മണ്ണ്, പാറ, ഉപരിതല വസ്തുക്കളുടെ സവിശേഷതകൾ, അടിസ്ഥാന തത്വങ്ങൾ, തുടങ്ങിയവ മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ സഹായിക്കുന്നു. കോഴ്‌സ് പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയ ശേഷം, ഒരു വിദ്യാർത്ഥിക്ക് കൃത്യതയോടെയും ഗുണകരുവമായി ശേഖരിച്ച ഡാറ്റ വിലയിരുത്തുന്നതിനും പരിശോധിക്കുന്നതിനും അവ തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നതിനും വേണ്ടവിധത്തിൽ അവയെ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതിനും ഉള്ള കഴിവു ലഭിക്കുന്നു.
