പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി സ്വാസ്ഥ്യ സുരക്ഷാ യോജനയ്ക്ക് (PMSSY) കീഴിൽ ഇന്ത്യാ ഗവൺമെന്റിന്റെ ആരോഗ്യ കുടുംബക്ഷേമ മന്ത്രാലയം സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്ന ആറ് എയിംസ് ഹെൽത്ത് കെയർ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ടുകളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് എയിംസ് റായ്പൂർ. രാജ്യത്തെ ഗുണമേന്മയുള്ള തൃതീയ തലത്തിലുള്ള ആരോഗ്യപരിപാലനത്തിലെ പ്രാദേശിക അസന്തുലിതാവസ്ഥ പരിഹരിക്കുന്നതിനും ബിരുദ, ബിരുദാനന്തര മെഡിക്കൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിൽ സ്വയം പര്യാപ്തത കൈവരിക്കുന്നതിനും പരിശീലനം നൽകുന്നതിനുമായി PMSSY രാജ്യത്തെ സേവനങ്ങൾ കുറഞ്ഞ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ 6 പുതിയ എയിംസ് പോലുള്ള സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ സ്ഥാപിക്കാൻ പദ്ധതിയിട്ടു.
