രാജ്യത്തെ 31 NIT കളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand. 2009 ൽ ആരംഭിച്ച NIT ഉത്തരാഖണ്ഡ് വളരെ ചുരുങ്ങിയ കാലയളവുകൊണ്ടു തന്നെ രാജ്യത്തെ മികച്ച NIT കളിൽ ഒന്നായി മാറിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു. 600 നു അടുത്ത് ബിരുദ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും 90 ഓളം ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും ഇവിടെ പഠിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇവരെ കൂടാതെ ഏകദേശം 106 ഗവേഷണ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും NIT ഉത്തരാഖണ്ഡിൽ ഉണ്ട്. 5 പ്രധാന ഡിപ്പാർട്മെന്റുകളാണ് NIT ഉത്തരാഖണ്ഡിലുള്ളത്.
