Course Introduction:
ഫാം.ഡി. ഒരു പ്രൊഫഷണൽ ഫാർമസി ഡോക്ടറൽ പ്രോഗ്രാം ആണ്. മരുന്നുകൾ തയ്യാറാക്കുകയും വിതരണം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന കലയും ശാസ്ത്രവുമാണ് ഫാർമസി. ഫാം.ഡി. ഫാർമസി ആക്റ്റ് 1948 പ്രകാരം രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്യാവുന്ന യോഗ്യതയാണ്. ക്ലാസ് റൂം തിയറി, ലബോറട്ടറി പരീക്ഷണങ്ങൾ, പ്രചോദിത ഗവേഷണ പ്രോജക്ടുകൾ എന്നിവയിൽ ഡോക്ടർ ഓഫ് ഫാർമസി പ്രോഗ്രാം ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കുന്നു. പിസിഐ അംഗീകരിച്ച കോളേജുകൾ‌ക്ക് മാത്രമേ ഫാം.ഡി നൽകൂ. ഫാർമസി കൗൺസിൽ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ (പിസിഐ) ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഫാർമസി വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിൻ്റെ റെഗുലേറ്ററി ബോഡിയാണ്. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ വളരെ പരിമിതമായ കോളേജുകളിൽ മാത്രമേ ഈ കോഴ്സ് ലഭ്യമായിട്ടൊള്ളു.
