Course Introduction:

ഡിപ്ലോമ ലെവൽ ആർക്കിയോളജി കോഴ്സാണ് പോസ്റ്റ് ഗ്രാജുവേറ്റ് ഡിപ്ലോമ ഇൻ ആർക്കിയോളജി. സൈറ്റുകളുടെ ഉത്ഖനനത്തിലൂടെയും പുരാവസ്തുക്കളുടെ വിശകലനത്തിലൂടെയും മനുഷ്യ ചരിത്രത്തെയും ചരിത്രാതീതത്തെയും കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഠനമാണ് ആർക്കിയോളജി. ക്ലാസിക്കുകൾ, കലാചരിത്രം, നരവംശശാസ്ത്രം, ചരിത്രം എന്നിവ പോലുള്ള ഒന്നോ അതിലധികമോ പരമ്പരാഗത കോഗ്നേറ്റ് മേഖലകളിൽ മതിയായ പശ്ചാത്തലം ലഭിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് ഉറപ്പുനൽകുന്നതിനൊപ്പം ആർക്കിയോളജിക്കൽ മെറ്റീരിയലുകളുടെയും സന്ദർഭത്തിന്റെയും വീണ്ടെടുക്കൽ, വിശകലനം, വ്യാഖ്യാനം എന്നിവയിൽ ഉചിതമായ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവും പരിശീലനവും പ്രോഗ്രാം നൽകുന്നു. പുരാവസ്തുഗവേഷകർ അനന്തമായ മണിക്കൂറുകളും ദിവസങ്ങളും ക്യാമ്പിംഗും ലബോറട്ടറികളിലും ഉത്ഖനന സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും ഫീൽഡ് വർക്ക് ഏറ്റെടുക്കേണ്ടതിനാൽ ഇത് വളരെയധികം ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു കരിയറാണ്. അതിനാൽ, ഒരു പുരാവസ്തു ഗവേഷകന് ഒരു പ്രോജക്റ്റിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ ക്ഷമ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം, അത് പൂർത്തിയാക്കാൻ മാസങ്ങളും വർഷങ്ങളും എടുക്കും.
