ഇന്ത്യയുടെ വടക്ക് കിഴക്കൻ മേഖലയിൽ നിലവാരമുള്ള മാനേജ്മെന്റ് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവും ഗവേഷണവും വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനുള്ള സൗകര്യങ്ങളുടെ വിപുലീകരണവും സമാഹരണവും എന്ന കാഴ്ചപ്പാടോടെയാണ് ഐഐഎം ഷില്ലോങ് സ്ഥാപിച്ചത്. 2004 ജൂണിൽ ഷില്ലോങ്ങിൽ നടന്ന അവലോകന യോഗത്തിൽ വടക്കുകിഴക്കൻ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലെ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിമാരോടൊപ്പം കേന്ദ്ര മാനവവിഭവശേഷി വികസന മന്ത്രിയും വടക്കുകിഴക്കൻ മേഖലയിൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് മാനേജ്മെന്റ് കൊണ്ടുവരാനുള്ള തീരുമാനം നിലവിൽ വന്നു .
Programs offered
1.Post Graduate programme
Eligibility
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (It may also referred to as Persons with Disability (PWD) category)], awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Entrance Examination
- For admission to the MBA applicants are required to qualify for the CAT. Overseas candidates may however, apply with GMAT scores.
Validity and other conditions are specified below: - CAT – Current year scores
- GMAT score – no earlier than 24 months prior to last date of application.
2.Post Graduate Program for Executives (PGPEx)
Eligibility
- Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised institutionExperience: Minimum 5 years of full-time work experience (as on 31 March 2022) after bachelor’s degree. Relaxation up to 1 year is available for candidates with at least 1-year field experience outside India.
Entrance Examination
- Qualifying Examination/Eligibility: CAT: Min 50 percentile (overall) or GMAT: Min 500 score (overall)
3.MBA for Working Executives (MBAWE)
Eligibility
- MBA WE is designed for professionals who aspire for greater roles in their organisations. This general management program is beneficial to professionals in business and industry, not-for-profit organizations, government and policy, research, and academics.Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA)].Experience: Minimum 5 years of full-time work experience (as on 31 May 2022) after graduation.
Entrance Examination :
- There will be written eligibility test for admission – Working Executive Management Aptitude Test (WE-MAT). The WE-MAT would follow a similar pattern as the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs. However, those having either of minimum 60 percentile in CAT or score of at least 500 in GMAT are eligible to be exempted from the above test.
4.Doctoral programmes
- Pursue your passion for knowledge and impact the world of business with the lens of contextual knowledge, business ethics and sustainable solutions for a dynamic world. The program is immersive, rigorous and interdisciplinary.
Eligibility
- A Master’s Degree (bachelor’s degree obtained in 10+2+3 pattern, followed by a master’s degree) or a 5-year Integrated Master’s Degree (obtained after completing higher secondary schooling in 10+2 pattern) in anydiscipline, with at least 55% marks in thebachelor’s and 60% in the master’s degrees.or• A Master’s Degree (A 4 year / 8 semesters Bachelor’s degree (10+2+4 pattern) with at least 6.5 CGPA or equivalent marks, followed by a master’s degree.o
- A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 55% marks in B.Com degree.
- Entrance ExaminationCandidates require a valid test score eitherof GMAT, GRE, CAT, GATE, JRF (NET) scoreto be considered for admission. Candidatesshould upload the valid score card alongwith application form.
5.Doctoral Program ( Working Professionals)
Eligibility
- Candidates should haveA Master’s Degree (bachelor’s degree obtained in 10+2+3 pattern, followed by a master’s degree) or a 5-year Integrated Master’s Degree (obtained after completing higher secondary schooling in 10+2 pattern) in any discipline, with at least 55% marks in the bachelor’s and 60% in the master’s degreesorA Master’s Degree (A 4 year / 8 semesters Bachelor’s degree (10+2+4 pattern) with at least 6.5 CGPA or equivalent marks, followed by a master’s degreeorA professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 55% marks in B.Com degree.
- In case of grades / CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the respective University/ Institution.If a University/institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA, and multiplying the result by 100.
The above qualification should be from any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956; or, recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Entrance Examination
- IIM Shillong will consider valid scores of GMAT, GRE, CAT, GATE or JRF (NET) for admission to PhD (WP) program. Valid score need to be entered while filling the application form
