നാഗ്പൂരിലെ വിശ്വേശ്വരയ്യ നാഷണൽ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ടെക്നോളജി രാജ്യത്തെ മുപ്പത് നാഷണൽ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ടെക്നോളജികളിൽ ഒന്നാണ്. നേരത്തെ, വിശ്വേശ്വരയ്യ റീജിയണൽ കോളേജ് ഓഫ് എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് (വിആർസിഇ) എന്നായിരുന്നു ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്. ഗവൺമെന്റ് സ്പോൺസർ ചെയ്ത പദ്ധതി പ്രകാരം 1960-ലാണ് ഇത് സ്ഥാപിതമായത്. 1956 ജൂലൈ മുതൽ നാഗ്പൂരിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് കോളേജിന് 1962 ഒക്ടോബറിൽ നടന്ന യോഗത്തിൽ, കോളേജിന്റെ ഗവേണിംഗ് ബോർഡ് രാജ്യത്തെ പ്രമുഖ എഞ്ചിനീയറും പ്ലാനറും രാഷ്ട്രതന്ത്രജ്ഞനുമായ സർ എം.വിശ്വേശ്വരയ്യയുടെ പേരിടാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. റീജിയണൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് കോളേജുകൾ സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ പ്രധാന ലക്ഷ്യം രാജ്യത്തുടനീളം ഗുണനിലവാരമുള്ള സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നൽകുകയും ദേശീയ ഉദ്ഗ്രഥനം പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക എന്നതായിരുന്നു. ശാസ്ത്രം, എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ്, അനുബന്ധ വിഷയങ്ങളിൽ അറിവ് സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നതിലും പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിലും മികവിന്റെ ഉയർന്ന നിലവാരം കൈവരിക്കുക എന്നതാണ് വിഎൻഐടിയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം. കണ്ടെത്തലിന്റെ സന്തോഷവും കഠിനമായ അക്കാദമിക് വിദഗ്ധരും സമന്വയിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നൽകാൻ വിഎൻഐറ്റി പ്രതിജ്ഞാബദ്ധമാണ്. മനുഷ്യരാശിയുടെ ഉന്നമനത്തിനായി ഫലപ്രദമായി സംഭാവന നൽകുന്നതിന് സമൂഹവുമായി ഒരു സംവാദത്തിൽ ഏർപ്പെടാൻ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് അതിന്റെ കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റിയെ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

Eligibility

  • There is no seats intake in Ph D program. Admission is given through institute advertisement. Candidates are selected through written test and interview conducted at the respective department. Students are given Teaching Assistanceship / Fellowship as per GOI, Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya) norms.
