Introduction
Pre-matric Scholarship is a scholarship given to minority students studying in class one to SSLC in government/aided/recognized schools in Kerala. Applicants should be from Muslim/ Christian/ Sikh/ Buddhist/ Parsi/ or Jain communities. Must have secured at least 50% marks in the previous year's annual class examination. This condition is not applicable to 1st class applicants. Only two people from a house can get this scholarship. Candidates receiving this scholarship will not be eligible for other scholarships

Eligibility Criteria
- Students belonging to minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, Jain) studying in classes 1 to 10 can apply.
 - The student should have not less than 50% marks in the previous year's annual examination
 - The student must have the attendance prescribed by the authorities
 - Only two students per family can get this scholarship
 - The annual income of the student's family should not exceed Rs.2 lakhs.
 - If the student acts against the rules and regulations of the school, the scholarship will be suspended or canceled.
 - No other scholarships are admissible to the student receiving this scholarship.
 
Documents required
- An aadhaar number or any other identification document is mandatory

 - Community certificate self-attested by students
 - Caste proof certificate
 - Certificate of Permanent Resident in Kerala (Residence Certificate)
 - Passport size photograph.
 - Mark sheet of previous course/examination (self-attested).
 - Bank account proof.
 
Application process
- Applicants must first visit the official website of NSP. www.scholarships.gov.in
 - A new registration is required by entering all the required details.
 - Select the scholarship to apply by entering residence details, name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, and email id
 - This step is completed by sending it to the registered mobile number.
 - Log in to the NSP and use the OTP received on the registered mobile to fill out the form.
 - This will generate an application ID and password that can be used for future references.
 
Scholarship rewards
- 500 per annum admission fee for classes 6 to 10 students.
 - 350 per annum tuition fee for 6th to 10th students.
 - 100 per month maintenance allowance for students of classes 1 to 5.
 - 600 per month maintenance allowance for hosteler students of classes 6 to 10.
 - 100 per month maintenance allowance for students of classes 6 to 10
