Programmes offered
1.PhD Programme
- The PhD programme is offered in eight areas:
Decision Sciences, Economics, Finance & Accounting, Information Systems, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour & Human Resource Management, Production & Operations Management, and Strategy.
Eligibility
- Candidates should haveA Master's Degree (bachelor’s degree obtained in 10+2+3 pattern, followed by a master’s degree) or a Post Graduate Diploma (2 years) in any discipline, with at least 55*# percent marks in the bachelor’s as well in the master’s degrees.
(OR) - A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 50*# percent marks and B. Com/Degree with 55*# percent marks
(OR) - 4 year / 8 semesters bachelor’s degree (10+2+4 pattern) with at least 6.5 CGPA or equivalent.

2.Post Graduate Programme (MBA)
Focus Area
- Behavioural Sciences, Economics, Finance & Accounting, Marketing, Quantitative Methods & Information Systems, Operations, Public Policy, Strategy, and Communications through the 'core courses'.
Eligibility
- The admission process seeks to identify the most promising candidates for the PGP batch of 2022 for IIMV. IIMV uses multiple parameters, namely academic performance in 10th standard examination, 12th standard examination and Bachelor’s degree examination, candidate’s scores in CAT to judge the suitability of candidates for the PGP program. Relevant work experience, if any is also given weight in the selection. Evaluation by multiple criteria is also consistent with empirical research on recruitment and selection that shows greater efficacy of recruitment process that uses multiple criteria. The CAT score, over and above being a selection criterion, is also used to establish the minimum level of proficiency that is expected from the candidate in respective areas as indicated by section wise minimum scores in the CAT. Multiple criteria are used to arrive at a composite score for every candidate, which is used to select candidates.

3.Post Graduate Program for Experienced Professionals (PGPEx)
- The Post Graduate Program for Experienced Professionals (PGPEx) leading to the award of MBA degree offered by IIM Visakhapatnam is a Non-residential weekend program. The PGPEx is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals located in and around the City of Visakhapatnam to excel in their career. The Program (2022-24) is scheduled to commence from June 2022
Eligibility
- The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree (minimum 55% marks or equivalent) that has been recognized by an authorized body in India. The Bachelor's degree obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or its equivalent.
- The applicant must have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience as onJanuary 01, 2022 at an officer/executive level or higher; as a professional or as an entrepreneur. Part time work experience, clerical (non-officer/ non-executive) experience and apprenticeship will not be considered as eligible work experience.
- Applicants require a valid CAT, GMAT, GRE score to be considered for admission.Alternatively, applicants also can choose to apply for PGPEx by opting to take IIMV Test.
4.Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship (MGNF)
Eligibility
- The applicants for the programme must be an Indian between 21-30 years and should have completed graduation from a recognized university. The selection process is a combination of Written Test, Interview and Language Proficiency.
