Overview
2011 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 08-ന് ആദ്യത്തെ വൈസ് ചാൻസലറുടെ നിയമനത്തോടെ ജമ്മുവിലെ കേന്ദ്ര സർവകലാശാല നിലവിൽ വന്നു.2009-ലെ കേന്ദ്ര സർവ്വകലാശാലാ നിയമം (2009-ലെ കേന്ദ്ര സർവ്വകലാശാലാ നിയമം, 2009-ലെ നിയമം നമ്പർ 25) പ്രകാരമാണ് ഇത് സ്ഥാപിച്ചത്. എട്ട് വിഷയങ്ങളിൽ ഇന്റഗ്രേറ്റഡ് എം-ഫിൽ-പിഎച്ച്.ഡി പ്രോഗ്രാമും സർവകലാശാല വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.ആധുനികവും ഉയർന്നുവരുന്നതുമായ ആശയങ്ങൾ, കഴിവുകൾ, സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യ, മാനേജ്മെന്റ് രീതികൾ എന്നിവ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നമ്മുടെ പൈതൃകത്തിന്റെ സംസ്കാരം, അറിവ്, തത്ത്വചിന്ത, ശാസ്ത്രം, മൂല്യവ്യവസ്ഥ എന്നിവ സമന്വയിപ്പിച്ച് ഉന്നത പഠനത്തിന്റെ ഒരു പ്രമുഖ കേന്ദ്രമാകുക എന്നതാണ് സെൻട്രൽ യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി ഓഫ് ജമ്മുവിന്റെ പ്രധാന ലക്ഷ്യം.

- The department of Zoology was established in 2016 with the launching of the five-year Integrated B. Sc. - M. Sc program in Zoology. In all, there are 10 semesters. Sc (honors) degree after passing the examinations prescribed for the course and after fulfilling the requirements laid down under the rules.
