ഇന്ത്യൻ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് മാനേജ്‌മെന്റ് (ഐഐഎം) പഞ്ചാബ് സർക്കാരിന്റെ പിന്തുണയോടെ മാനവ വിഭവശേഷി വികസന മന്ത്രാലയം സ്ഥാപിച്ച 15-ാമത്തെ ഐഐഎമ്മാണ് അമൃത്സർ. 2015 ജൂലൈ 27-ന് ഐഐഎം അമൃത്സർ സൊസൈറ്റിയുടെ രജിസ്ട്രേഷനുശേഷം, 2015-17 ക്ലാസിലേക്കുള്ള ആദ്യ ബാച്ച് 2015 ഓഗസ്റ്റിൽ എൻറോൾ ചെയ്തു. പിന്നീട് ഒക്ടോബർ 14, 2015-ന് ഐഐഎം അമൃത്സർ ബോർഡ് ഓഫ് ഗവേണൻസ് & സൊസൈറ്റി രൂപീകരിച്ചു.സുവർണ്ണ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെയും വാഗാ അതിർത്തിയുടെയും നാടായ അമൃത്‌സറിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ന്നു. റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ നിന്ന് അഞ്ച് കിലോമീറ്ററും വിമാനത്താവളത്തിൽ നിന്ന് 10 കിലോമീറ്ററും അകലെയുള്ള പഞ്ചാബ് ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ടെക്നോളജി ബിൽഡിംഗിലാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്.

Eligibility
- This outlines the process that will be used for selecting meritorious candidates under each category of admission, that is, General, NC-OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PWD, for admission to the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Program at the Indian Institute of Management Amritsar (IIM Amritsar) for the batch of 2022-24.
- The selection process, selection criteria and weights given to various parameters are decided by the Admissions Committee annually. The Admission Committee finalizes the process, fixes these criteria and weights at the beginning of each admission cycle before the CAT Written test. This is to ensure that the admissions process is objective.
- The admissions process is divided into two stages. The first stage comprises of shortlisting candidates for Personal Interview (PI). The second stage comprises of shortlisting candidates for decision regarding admission to the MBA Program.
IIM Amritsar uses a composite score of multiple parameters like marks in 10th and 12th Board exams, marks of Graduation Program, quality of work experience, gender and academic diversity, and candidate's section wise scores in CAT to judge the suitability of a candidate for the MBA Program. The following document explains the process. - Candidates are advised to clearly present marks related information at the 10th, 12th, and graduation level, and information relating to their branch of study in their graduation. Incorrect presentation of information will be construed as misrepresentation, resulting in the candidate’s application not being considered for the next level in the selection process. IIM Amritsar’s decision in this matter will be final and no further discussion will be entertained with regard to the processing of such an application.

4.Ph.D Programmes
The doctoral program at IIM Amritsar is aimed at producing high quality researchers and effective management teachers. The program will train participants to adopt a scientific approach to study phenomenon of interest to them and to disseminate this knowledge through scientific publications, teaching, and organizational interventions. Eligibility
- Candidates who have obtained a PhD degree (or equivalent) from institutions of high repute like Central Universities, IIMs, IITs, IISERs, IISc Bangalore, NITIE Mumbai or an equivalent level in such other globally recognized Indian or foreign institutions of comparable standards as may be decided by IIM Amritsar, within previous three academic years from the date of application, may apply.
- The maximum age limit for candidates is 35 years (this limit may be relaxed by 5 years for women and the reserved category).
6.Executive MBA program
- The program intends to prepare working executives to advance their careers and help them transition to leadership roles. It allows executives to understand the shifting business landscape and to chart out a new career path according to the current industry needs.
