Course Introduction:

എം.എസ്സി. ജനിതകശാസ്ത്രവും സസ്യ പ്രജനനവും അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ജനിതകശാസ്ത്രത്തിലും സസ്യ പ്രജനനത്തിലും മാസ്റ്റർ ഓഫ് സയൻസ് ഒരു ബിരുദാനന്തര പ്ലാന്റ് പാത്തോളജി കോഴ്സാണ്. അഗ്രോണമി, ബയോകെമിസ്ട്രി, സസ്യശാസ്ത്രം, ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ആൻഡ് വന്യജീവി പരിസ്ഥിതി, ജനിതകശാസ്ത്രം, ഹോർട്ടികൾച്ചർ, പ്ലാന്റ് പാത്തോളജി, സ്ഥിതിവിവരക്കണക്കുകൾ എന്നിവയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള അംഗത്വമുള്ള ഈ പ്രോഗ്രാം യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ ഇന്റർ ഡിസിപ്ലിനറി ആണ്. ജനിതകശാസ്ത്രം, അഗ്രോണമി, സ്റ്റാറ്റിസ്റ്റിക്സ്, പ്ലാന്റ് പാത്തോളജി, എൻ‌ടോമോളജി, അനുബന്ധ ശാസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയുടെ പഠനത്തിലൂടെയും പ്രയോഗത്തിലൂടെയും വിള സസ്യങ്ങളെ മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള ശാസ്ത്രവും കലയുമാണ് സസ്യ പ്രജനനം. കോഴ്സിന്റെ കാലാവധി രണ്ട് വർഷമാണ്.
